Bully's Nottingham Forest To Bradford City Bike Ride · 1 July 2023

Matthew 22 is a Special Fund of the Bone Cancer Research Trust raising vital funds for life-saving research.

Story

Who am I and why am I doing this, you may ask? I am Neil Bond, a close family friend to The Hollingworth family who sadly lost their son Matthew, brother to Jonathan (his twin) & older sibling Daniel. Matthew sadly passed away on 16th February 2022.

This ride is in memory of Matthew, who having been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in 2019, a rare form of bone cancer, did not sit down or wallow he stood proud and faced this head on showing unbelievable strength and courage throughout all of his treatment and setbacks, when anyone mentions Matthew’s name it's with pride and kind words.

I am trying to raise more funds through the Matthew22 fund, by cycling from Nottingham Forest, Matthew’s team, to my team Bradford City on Saturday 1st July. Cycling over five stages and a distance of approx. 95 miles.

The Matthew22 fund was set up by The Hollingworth family to keep Matthew’s memory alive and to help raise funds for the Bone Cancer Research Trust to do more precious work as they are a self-funding charity.

We appreciate how tight things are for people at this present time as the cost of living keeps rising but will also appreciate any generous donations or sponsorship anybody can offer

If anybody would like to join me on the 1st of July me for any stage(s) and keep me company and help raise funds for the Matthew22 Fund please contact myself or any of the Hollingworth family.

Any help and donation will be greatly appreciated for details.

Thank you

Neil Bond (aka Bully)
